Laurie, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother sounds like a wonderful person, wife, mother and grandmother and is leaving a beautiful legacy within each of you. She sounded so very talented, gifted and above all loved which is all any of us could ask for. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Steve and family,

I was so sorry to learn of Betty's passing. She was very special. When I was school nurse she was always there when I needed her if Karen was not able to come for the boys when they were ill.

My sympathy to all the family.

May God bless you always, in all ways.

I enjoyed a lovely day with Mrs. Richter and her daughter, Karen. I marveled at her gift for decorating and wished she could come decorate my house. It was so much fun hearing her stories of the history of different things she used to make her surroundings so special and homey. I was struck by several things that day. Even though she had been so sick, she seemed so energetic and strong when we looked at things and discussed her family history, her ancestors, and decorating ideas. One could tell that she knew what was important in life and how much she cherished her family - past, present, and future. I also thought this is the remarkable woman behind my exceptional friend, Karen. She instilled a sincere devotion to God, a strong sense of duty and responsibility, along with a love for family and friends in her children and grandchildren. Her beautiful life was cut short, but she leaves a legacy of goodness behind in her offspring. They will continue to enrich the lives of others because of the lessons she taught them.

I will miss her so much. We worked together for nearly 17yrs. We shared lots of things together, like our love of antiques and collectables and I guess the most important thing we shared our childrens ups and downs. Then came Grandchildren and you know how she loved the grandbabies. We shared the good times and the bad times but most of all we shared a friendship that will last forever.
